Facebook is not just an app, it's the world of mobile Internet

According to Facebook's latest financial report, in the last quarter the company has more than 1 billion active users per day who log in their Facebook account through smartphones . Revenue from mobile accounts for 84% of the company's income. Facebook has turned out to be something that mobile users spend time on every day and it is the fact that Facebook is an indispensable part of their daily routines. Facebook is so popular and attractive that its Chief Executive Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, suggests that they should focus on only Facebook instead of creating other websites. At the moment, there are more than 60 millions of enterprises in the US who reach their customers on Facebook.

Many people may be surprised to know that what Facebook has is not only Facebook. They own WhatsApp and Messenger, which are of the most successful massage apps; not to mention Instagram – the No.1 social photo network. As claimed by Mark Zuckerberg, the amount of massages sent via WhatsApp and Messenger is 60 billions per day, which is 3 times more than the highest number of SMS globally.

As Facebook is dominating the online market, it is more likely that subsidiaries will follow Ms. Sandberg's recommendation. The more profitable Facebook becomes, the more influential it will be. Facebook is about media, news, games and even customers' behaviors. Facebook is about how people use the mobile Internet.

In one of its shareholder meetings, Facebook has shown how videos and video adds work in this social network. They strike to upload short videos and in fact, some producers are helping them make it. Fortunately, as stated by Mark Zuckerberg, there will not be any add before those videos start on users' newfeeds.

It looks like videos and video apps is of many small projects of Facebook during its history of development. However, there is nothing small that Facebook put in their plans. “They are actually rule-maker of the game with such a tremendous amount of users.”, said Jason Goldberg – Vice President of Razorfish advertising. Mr. Goldberg also claimed that advertising companies would still be willing to pay Facebook as long as it keeps dominating social medias.
